Halloween~

Another year without celebrating this pagan and funny holiday. I don't celebrate halloween because in my country my family take me out of it telling me what's the real meaning of Halloween. If you want to know more here is a website that explain it all:

http://rcg.org/articles/totuh.html

In Vnzla, people celebrate it but no like in here, going out for trick or treating. Instead, they just make a big party and everyone dress up for it. Also they watch horror movies and them tell horror stories, some fake and some real horror stories. I don't like halloween because is just another day that people spend buying a lot of things that they just use one day and then throw into the garbage next day. Also, people say that in halloween some people go out and make sacrifice and a lot of bad things. I don't know if in Calgary that happens but in others countries like Mexico or Vnzla, it happens!

As I said, I dislike halloween but it's just my opinion.
Have a nice day!

PD: No pictures for today... D= Sorry!

  1. Airi... this is a very convincing post! And especially with the website that you included! $2.5 BILLION spent in the US on Halloween. TRULY SCARY!
I don't like Halloween either, but go along with it because of societal pressure.

    1. Pressure? Please, you have your own opinion, if u don't like it just don't do it! But I guess you like to go to parties and all that stuff! xD So u can say that's your pressure?

    2. Nope, I don't go to Halloween parties. The societal pressure that I was referring to was going along with handing out candy to children at my door (and candy is bad for you, right?). You're absolutely right... I COULD and SHOULD close my blinds, turn out the lights and sit in my house in the dark while trick or treating is going on (bah humbug). But, at this point, I am still going along with it.

    3. Oh, I see... Well you can do it next time! And see what happen. Kids are not going to knock at a creepy house, are they? If so, you can scare them away! That's more funny. Thanks for comment!

  2. Well, i like halloween. I can dress and make up like a monster or something.
some people celebrate for vouge and popularity, it is sad that have no idea what kind of "holiday" are sometimes held.

I have a black cat with yellow eyes who was pregnant, had her kittens on Oct 31 (halloween's day) in the afternoon. It's funny, i think.
be good airy, all miss you here in venezuela-land.
