Tourism.
First I want to say that I wanted to study tourism once... But I quit because it wasn't what I really wanted to do.
Also I want you to know that this is my first travel out of Vnzla, first time in a plane, first time speaking too much english, first time in almost everything since I was born. I know there's tourism sites in my country, Vnzla, but I have never been there just know a few places from internet. Plus I want to introduce you my small travel to Punto Fijo, Falcon, Zulia, Vnzla.
Here are a few pics...
My photography blog
I love this pic, I wanted to make something interesting with this rock but I lost it!
This is Coro... the sand city!
You can see Sand everywhere.
Coro is a tourist place where almost people from Vnzla go to spend time with family and play with the sand. It's like in here with snow but with sand. Also, there is people who like to snowboard in the sand... should I call it sandboard?
Coro sand
More sand
This video was made on Peru but is almost the same in Coro...
There are many places for tourism but is difficult for me to have a chance to go...
What is the most popular type of tourism provided?
I can say that people from Vnzla want to go to my city to try the food: "Arepa Cabimera" or "Cepillados" from La Rita...
Arepa Cabimera
Cepillados
But often people like to go to cold places like Merida or Valera. I have been in Valera, La puerta and some places in Merida.
This place is called: "La Lagunita" and is the most famous place in Valera. My aunt is the owner.
There is a lot of waterfalls everywhere, also you don't have to pay to see a small waterfall... They're so beautiful!
Well... this is just a few places I know. Tourism in Vnzla is no so popular, at least in my city but is an awesome place to visit. You should go someday!
Hails!

Lady pens? Are you kidding me?
Think about how you feel about "Lady Pens". Why did it make you feel that way?
It said that I can feel like a typical women, that's what I got. I don't feel confrotable if I use this kind of pen because, one: What's the difference? Just the color? It will not make me feel more feminine...seriously.
And two: THE COLOR! I love green or blue... that means I'm not a girl? Come on...
What are some key points that Ellen talks about in terms of the women's movement and/or equality?
Women paid a lot for equality, now women are allowed to vote, can drive at night, wear pants and so on...
Did you find the clip funny or not? Why or why not?
Yes, it was really fun because I can reflect and think about how women have "change" since we are as equal as men in life. I can see that there is still people who think that doing this kind of products can make women more confident in their thoughts. Also I can laugh about how we can the same as men saying: this product is just for us! You can't use it! And women call this equality.

Questions 'bout Gender Roles
Do you see yourself as a typical man or woman?
In my country? No... Women in my country usually are the opposite. They are always using make up, dressing with colorful clothes, using sandals when there is a party, thinking about having boysfriends and so on. Unlike me, I don't like make up, I use confortable clothes no so colorful, I dislike sandals and I don't like to think about how can I find a boyfriend, I'll wait for it to come... someday, somehow! xD
What are the responsibilities of a father?
Either father and mother have to take care of their family and bring food home!
Are there any professions that have more men than women in your country?
Yes, Venezuelan Oil Industry...
Is it typical for women to join the military in your country?
Is not typical but it's normal.
Is it typical for men to be teachers in your country?
Again, is normal. There is a variety of workers, male and female.
If all women in the world disappeared, what would it be like?
Ahahahahaha... Caos! Men need a women to be calm, to be happy, to eat good food if they don't know how to cook, to have descendants, it depends.
Are men and women equal in their physical ability?
Sometimes yes, somethimes no. In my case, at home I'm doing what my brother is suppose to do to fix things like spotligths or things alike. Sometimes I can't do something hard and ask my brother to do it but I often try to do it before ask him. I like to play with electricity, cut the long branches of the trees, I also know how to do plumbing. I also don't like to much cooking but I can do it.
Anyone can have a diferent view of thinking, we have to decide: You think like the masess or try to be diferent. I decided to be diferent but I'm still a girl who think a little bit like others girls... sometimes!

Halloween~
Another year without celebrating this pagan and funny holiday. I don't celebrate halloween because in my country my family take me out of it telling me what's the real meaning of Halloween. If you want to know more here is a website that explain it all:
http://rcg.org/articles/totuh.html
In Vnzla, people celebrate it but no like in here, going out for trick or treating. Instead, they just make a big party and everyone dress up for it. Also they watch horror movies and them tell horror stories, some fake and some real horror stories. I don't like halloween because is just another day that people spend buying a lot of things that they just use one day and then throw into the garbage next day. Also, people say that in halloween some people go out and make sacrifice and a lot of bad things. I don't know if in Calgary that happens but in others countries like Mexico or Vnzla, it happens!
As I said, I dislike halloween but it's just my opinion.
Have a nice day!
PD: No pictures for today... D= Sorry!

MY HOBBY!!!! I love my Hobby!
Relationships are personal... So I'll talk about my hobby...
This is my hobby:
A really old trunk. It's Mom's trunk and she let me draw on it every year.
Thouse were fastfood boxes...
This is a clay doll. He is Freud, a personal character from a DevianArt acount.
This was a homework for univernity.
And this is my dog... Zeus! I'm obsessed with him...
I miss him!
A LOT!! D=<
I'm allways doing something with something else. I have been focused on creating, drawing, listening to music and having fun with my imagination. This is just the beginning, I have a lot of handmade work at home! I'm really hooked on this. It help me to scape from boring and, sometimes, problems. Also I miss my tools and my paintings. Here in Calgary I don't have even a crayon to draw something, that's why I'm drawing on the UofC blackboard. Sorry about that. I'm also good at recycling old stuff like that old truck. Manual dexterity... that's my hobby, awesome, isn't it?

Fraud?
People in my country knows what is fraud very well. Abaut the article? That's nothing compared to situation in Vnzla. At least 50% of population have been in a bus asking for money, fraud or not, it's like a easy way to earn money. There are a lot of people who say that they are sick of cancer, VIH, tumors and also they show you the scars or any tumor they have. Gross, I know, but they prefer making easy money than go find a job.
By the way, you can find people like:
Who sing and ask for money, but they always look like crakcsman. People who ask for money to pay a surgery for a little girl who died 4 years ago, that kind of fraud is common in Vnzla.

Dislike Tabacco but I like Wine!
Does your country allow advertising campaigns for tobacco and/or alcohol? Mmmm... Good question!
Hi, I'm Airi and I'm not an alcoholic! (I love Wine and love to try any kind of drinks...) Ok, in my country you can usually find this kind of flyers on stores...
It says: "This is a 100% tabacco free place in resolution to Ministery of Popular Power for Health." That's a LIE!!! You can find things like this everywhere but people doesn't pay attention to it! Also there are publicity like this one... (in spanish)
And they don't want to pay attention. It's easy to find tabacco in my country, it's also easy for kids to buy it too, sad but true.
Alcohol? There is a bar in every single corner, seriously.
This is a kind of store but it can be a bar too. People go there and can drink in/outside. Beer, Superior, Ron, Aniz, Ponche or Vodka are some popular drinks. Polar Light is a kind of beer made in Vnzla.
There is many kinds of publicity or campaign that suport many alcohol companies like...
It says: "this is your creation, Zulian. You know!
It says: "Who said hotnnes? Extra fresh."
And this one is difficult to explain 'cause "¡Chacha!" is an expresion that is similar to "Miss, please calm down" but it has many meanings in spanish. In this case you can use that one. Btw... there's also the popular law "Ley seca", it means: "Dry law". It says that you can't drink alcohol for 2, 3 or up to 4 days depending on the occasion; maybe in elections or Christmas. So, in my country you can find ads for tabacco and alcohol easly 'cause it's normal to see people smoking or drinking freely.
To finish this post... you will meet my little, cute, awsome, gorgeous beast... Zeus.
I MISS HIIIIIM!!!! ; _ ; Here you have a few post on Tumblr, you can find more funny pics of him there... =3
